Imaging
The Imaging Core Service provides access to our microscopes and scanners. Currently, a Leica MICA Confocal Microscope is open to public use. MICA is a highly automated microscope that unites both widefield and confocal imaging in a sample-protecting environment that supports the imaging of tissue and live cells. An automated sample stage supports slide scanning as well as multi-well plate imaging.
MICA has 4 objectives (4x, 10x, 20x and 63x water immersion) and four laser diodes (405, 488, 561, 638 nm) that can be used under fluorescent as well as confocal mode. Leica proprietary Thunder dehazing algorithm is also available.

Histology
The history core service provides access to our histology equipment. The facility is equipped with an Epredia NX70 cryotome and a Precisionary RF-1000 fully automated microtome.
